Reply with quote | #16 | It's a catch 22...........what if you only got to attend one regional and you kick butt in your first 2 motos and have a mechanical DNF in your last moto and miss out. Then you have no chance to make it. One the flip side I agree, it sucks to see people from all over making it out of a regional they live no where close to.
Looks likes they are trying to fix it for 2010. You can still hit 3 regionals if you need to but you're gonna have to log in some serious miles.

BTW I got an email (and most of you prolly did to) but the regionals will now be the same 3 moto format but with longer motos to get prepared for LL. __________________ Team Ideal Manager

I'm not bashing it at all because it is fun, and I'm just trying to put my input in and hopefully make it safer. How many times have you raced there this year? If you are talking about the LLQ this year it rained alot the week prior to the practice and race Saturday and made the track very rough with tons of ruts. Pretty much everyone had to be pulled in by a dozer. Sunday got washed out all together. We have been to nearly every race there this year and I couldn't disagree more with your comments. For one, the whoops have been redone and the faces of the jumps are all good. I've seen some really good racing there and I think it will make for a great Regional. Only wish it was a Youth and not an Amateur Regional.

Reply with quote | #19 | I sure won't complain about going to Millville. There may be a couple tracks better than Millville, but they aren't in IL. While Red Bud may be closer, I hope we get past the qualifiers so we can experience a true national track. I couldn't be happier that the youth regional is there. We can all enjoy our local tracks, but don't confuse them with the top tracks.
Seriously, there are true national tracks and anytime you get a good reason, like a regional, to race them, you should be very happy. If we make it and get the chance, we'll be thrilled. Bring on the whoop monster. __________________ Thanks to Motofab, Pro-Action of IL, R&D Racing, Phyllis Blume Photography, Dunlop, 751 Products, Scott Goggles, Twin Air, Pro Taper, Pivot Works, Gaerne & Decal Works.

We went to Millville 2 years ago for the regional. It was a long haul, but it was worth it. Track is sweet and everything seemed to run like clock work. Did'nt make it through but had a good time. |

Reply with quote | #21 | I imagine with a regional the track will be rough with ruts too. Yes I did race the LLQ, and no I have not been there since they have redone the track. I was just commenting on how I was never comfortable, along with some other people on that track. I about had to hit the eject button a couple times, and once is way too many. No it wasn't because the ruts, or kickers, or bumps, it was just in how they were built. Like I said I haven't been there since they have supposedly changed the jump faces. I was just trying to voice my opinion on what I thought was dangerous. |

If you raced there now or any of the last several races I'm sure your opinion would change. They certainly listen to riders input and are willing to make changes to make things better/safer. I can recall a time when someone got hurt on a jump and before the next moto took off they went out and fixed it with the dozer. I hate to see anyone get hurt but I was glad to see a track do something about it right then and there rather than risk someone else getting hurt. __________________ Thanks to Ben's 2009 Sponsors: Heath Racing, Answer, RoostMX Graphics, Renthal, Two2Cool, Risk Racing, Powerband Racing Suspension, Dunlop Tires, Twin Air, Spy Goggles, KSR Wheels, ASV Inventions and Moto-X-Foto.com. |

Reply with quote | #26 | I am sure Ray and Randy will make some changes between now and the Regional. If I was planning on trying to make it to LL I would not pass up this weekend @ CRMX. It should be an awesome track.
I thought you would like this post CRMX. LOL Nothing like putting a little pressure on. Oh also congradulations.
